Well Done Good and Faithful Servant

Randy entered the church triumphant this morning at 9:20 with Pat, Joe Winterman and me at his bedside. The Lord granted him a peaceful journey.

There will be a celebration of Randy's life at 4:30 PM Sunday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

Thank you for all of your prayers and expressions of concern. Continue to pray for the children and for me as we go through the fog of our grief. I have been telling people that today the world lost a great man but God called home a faithful servant.

I have fought the fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7. Thanks be to God.

Peace to you,

Sue, Katie, Pat & Carrie

Dear Sue and family,
We just learned of Randy's passing. I hadn't even heard via family that he was ill, it sounds like you have had quite a journey the past many months. It sounds like he was a trouper through it all, knowing him I would not expect any less. Please express our sympathy to your children and family. Take care.

Your words in the latest blog entry are so inspirational for us. They indicate the reality what faith is all about -- trusting in spite of the circumstances around us. Of course you also mention the "fog" of grief which is reality also!! I have no doubt that the path you have walked thus far will lead you to a place of peace that only can come from a loving heavenly Father!

Your husband was a friend and someone who always brought me a great deal of joy through the years. He maintained a youthful outlook and yet cared deeply about serious life issues. I will miss seeing him when I come back to the Evansville area for a visit. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to come over back in December. It meant a great deal to me and it will be a time that I will always remember. I thank the Lord for the privilege of knowing and sharing with Randy over the years. Again, I will miss him greatly!

WE continue to lift you up to the throne of God and ask for His care during the days of "adjustment" ahead.

Love to you and your children,

Mark & Vesta
